for the event “AI Creator Day”

1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between SAE Institute Zürich
(hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”) and the participants of the event “AI Creator Day”
(hereinafter referred to as the “Event”).
By purchasing a ticket, the participant accepts these GTC.
2. Conclusion of Contract
The contract is concluded upon completion of the ticket purchase.
Registration is binding. The Organizer generally confirms the conclusion of the contract via email
(ticket confirmation).
The Organizer reserves the right to reject registrations without stating reasons.
3. Services
The ticket entitles the participant to attend the Event in accordance with the published program on the
day of the Event.
Unless otherwise stated, the ticket price includes:
- Participation in workshops
- Access to networking areas
- Catering as advertised (e.g. flying buffet)
Travel and accommodation expenses are not included.
4. Program Changes
The Organizer expressly reserves the right to:
- Replace speakers
- Adjust the schedule or content of program items
- Cancel individual program components
Such changes shall not entitle participants to a refund, provided that the overall character of the Event
is maintained.
5. Prices and Payment
All prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF).
Payment shall be made using the available payment methods (e.g. credit card, online payment providers).
Participation rights arise only upon full payment.
6. Cancellation by Participants
Free cancellation is generally excluded unless explicitly stated otherwise.
A refund of the ticket price shall only be granted:
- In the event of full cancellation of the Event by the Organizer; or
- Where mandatory statutory provisions require it.
Tickets may be transferred to a substitute participant, provided the Organizer is informed in writing in
advance.
7. Cancellation or Postponement by the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event for important reasons, including but not
limited to:
- Force majeure
- Official orders or restrictions
- Security risks
- Insufficient number of participants
- Unforeseen speaker cancellations
In the event of cancellation, the ticket price paid will be refunded. Any further claims — particularly
for travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings — are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
If the Event is postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date. If a participant is unable to attend on
the rescheduled date, they may request a refund within a reasonable period.
8. Participation Conditions and House Rules
The Event takes place at the premises of SAE Institute Zürich.
Participants must comply with the instructions of the Organizer and event staff. In cases of serious
violations of house rules or disruptive behavior, the Organizer may exclude a participant from the Event.
In such cases, no refund will be granted.
9. Liability
Participation in the Event is at the participant’s own risk.
The Organizer shall only be liable for damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The Organizer assumes no liability for:
- Loss or theft of personal belongings
- Technical failures beyond its control
- Acts or omissions of third parties
Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
10. Photo, Video and Audio Recordings
Photographs, video and audio recordings may be made during the Event.
By participating, attendees agree that recordings in which they may be identifiable may be used for
reporting, documentation, marketing, and promotion of future events (including website, social media, and
print materials).
Participants who do not wish to be recorded must explicitly inform the Organizer on site.
11. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on the website.
12. Intellectual Property
All content presented during the Event, including materials, presentations and documentation, is protected
by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Recording, reproduction or distribution of content is not permitted without the prior written consent of
the respective rights holder.
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These GTC shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law provisions.
The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise.
14. Severability Clause
Should any provision of these GTC be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions
shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that
most closely reflects its economic intent.
